Securing Cosmog in Pokémon Ultra Moon is an exciting milestone for players who want to expand their legendary collection after completing the main story. This tiny Nebulae Pokémon holds immense value as it can eventually evolve into another powerful Legendary creature. Understanding the exact requirements and location makes adding this rare creature to your party a straightforward process.

Prerequisites and Requirements for Cosmog

Before you can find Cosmog, you must first complete the main campaign by defeating the Elite Four and becoming the Champion. Additionally, you need to catch Lunala and keep it active in your current party. Having Lunala with you is essential because it triggers the dimensional portal required to reach the target area.

Traveling to the Alternate World

With Lunala in your party, head directly to the Altar of the Moone located on Poni Island. Interact with the distortion portal at the altar, which will allow you to cross over into the reverse world where time is inverted. This special mechanic shifts the game's day-and-night cycle and grants access to unique events.

Finding Cosmog at Lake of the Sunne

Once you are inside the alternate dimension, travel to Ula'ula Island and make your way to the Lake of the Sunne. Walk up to the platform inside the shrine where a dramatic cutscene will automatically begin. Lunala will interact with its counterpart, causing Cosmog to appear right in front of you without triggering a combat battle.

Adding Cosmog to Your Roster

After the cutscene finishes, simply interact with Cosmog to invite it to join your team. You will receive the Pokémon immediately at Level 5 and it will come holding a special Lunalium Z item. From there, you can train it to evolve into Cosmoem at Level 43 and ultimately into Solgaleo at Level 53 in Pokémon Ultra Moon.
